visit to Viveka Yoga looks as follows:
You already begin to feel good as soon as you begin your trip to the studio. A smile appears on your face as you walk towards the studio and see the “Welcome” sign. As you walk into the studio your senses are captivated by feelings of joy. The aroma of wood, chai tea, fresh flowers, and a fresh breeze makes you feel at home. You can hear people chatting over tea amidst the background music of an uplifting tune. You are drawn to the friendly décor, pictures of students adorn the walls, abstract artwork brings your creative mind to interpret a canvas of joy, and the sun beaming through the windows onto the plants makes you feel like you could stay here forever. As you take your shoes off in the entrance, your bare feet land onto the sensation of the cool floor, one of the owners gracefully pats your shoulder as she comes to say a caring “hello”. Once you’ve changed and walked into the studio room to place your mat, you know, this is home.
The teacher teaches a heart-felt yoga class, every breath has rejuvenated your body and you are ready to take on your day or go home and close off the evening. Guests know that their life is regarded holistically here, and the caring owners, teachers, and personnel are accessible and friendly. You look forward to summer’s outdoor classes on the Lachine canal, autumn’s warming classes, winter’s snow and yoga retreats, and spring’s cleansing programs. This place is avant-garde, holistic, and caring.
